NeoAccel’s NAC-Plus™ Gatekeeper is an 802.1x compliant, layer-2 through 7 network access control (NAC) device that prevents unauthorized access to corporate network infrastructure.

Able to resolve the dilemma of securing an expanding network infrastructure, NAC-Plus Gatekeeper utilizes managed switches and wireless access points to prevent rogue computers from gaining network access—preventing worms from spreading, company intelligence from being stolen, and viruses from attacking, before access is granted to the OSI layer-2 & above network layers.

Ideal for ensuring wireless LAN security and a necessity to prevent unauthorized laptops or visitors from physically “plugging-in” without proper access rights. In addition Gatekeeper maintains user-specific application level control, adding access to specific applications, by specific users, from specific systems.

1. Endpoint computer associates with wireless AP or “plugs-in” to physical network
2. Gatekeeper quarantines the endpoint to default VLAN
3. Supplicant executes EndPoint Security (EPS) check & carries out remediation processes
4. Based on identity checks, Gatekeeper either allows or denies access as per the defined access policy
5. Post admission checks are conducted at regular intervals.

Simplified Web based Management

NAC-Plus is simple to setup and manage with its intuitive web GUI. Task-specific help settings appear automatically and assist in performing user administration, certificate management, setup and maintenance. In addition it provides enhanced information logging for security audits and reporting.

NAC-Plus Supplicant

Secure Agent is our 802.1x supplicant program that is run by endpoint computers attempting to access the network. It provides multi-vendor/platform support for IEEE 802.1x compliance and performs the initial EndPoint Security (EPS) scan. After network admission, it continuously monitors the health of a connected system.

Private Certificate Authority

NAC-Plus utilizes its built-in Certificate Authority to issue and revoke signed digital certificates. Digital certificates provide a second layer of protection and encryption capability beyond traditional username/password admission control.

Application Layer NAC

Implemented at the layer-2 level but able to reach-out beyond traditional NAC devices to the application layer, NAC-Plus is able to provide end-to-end cryptography and ensure individual resource-based access control. Welcome to the next generation in NAC.
